Born in 1954 in Ulan-Ude in the family of an artist. From 1969 to 1974, he studied at the Irkutsk school of arts in the decorative and design Department. In 1974-75, he worked in the Irkutsk creative and production workshops of the Art Fund of the RSFSR. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR since 1987 Since 1993-member of the International Art Foundation, the Moscow Union of artists. Since 1994-member of the international Federation of artists at UNESCO. Participant of many regional, regional, all-Russian and international exhibitions. The artist considers Ulan-Ude (where he was born and spent his childhood), Irkutsk (where he started his career) and Moscow, where he has lived and worked since 1990. Alexander Moskvitin's paintings were exhibited at various exhibitions: Moscow, Paris, new York, Milan, Sofia, Ulaanbaatar, London, Seoul, and Frankfurt am main. Winner of the "Imperial culture" award (2011) for the art Atlas of Russia, winner of the "Trumpeting angel of Russia"award. In 2020, he was appointed Chairman of the sculpture Department of the International Academy of contemporary arts.
